Allgemeine   This is based on the hand lettering by German architect Peter Behrens. He had designed a new industrial complex for the Peoples Electric Works in Berlin. During that time he also produced graphic design for sales material and other publication of the company. This face is inspired by this body of work.   Design notes: Allgemeine is a strong and muscular text face. Some of its capitals are giant and rather tame them for proper spacing in blocks of text we decided to allow them to exist in their full exuberance. The full character set for this face is not complete, nor has the letter spacing known as kerning been completed.
