0099: We have been providing ongoing consultation to the Montessori Academy as they carry out an extensive renovation to their facility housed in a timber framed barn. One significant part of that has been the layout of the windows for the front facade. The formerly windowless upper levels of the barn are being renovated for use as classroom space and administrative areas. The new windows are meant to reflect its history as a barn and evoke the dignity of a place of learning. The entire facility is also being resided with a cementitious siding panel. In this photo from the Spring of 2003 all of the windows are now in place and the new siding has been installed. The areas where the new siding is missing are places where a new addition will attach. See progress photos of window installation:
