9869: Schematic design for a 16,000 sq ft addition to a private high school housing athletic program and music department spaces. The project also included 5,000 sq ft of renovation within the existing building. The design maintained access for the school's service area and created a new entrance serving the athletic spaces. This new entrance allows the school's front doors to be secured during evening events in the athletic spaces. The facades utilize the palette of materials from the existing school building, while departing from the convention with which they were applied. The resulting composition harmonizes with the existing school, but reinvigorates the somewhat dated appearance of the building.
