this is the end where they have created a walk out basement - the tall narrow proportion of the end of the house looks like a tower here!
This is the Living Room's end wall - the clerestory windows are not in yet, but the drywall work is underway all over the house. They are getting close.
and here is one of the bedrooms with the bay window - Wow! what a picture out the windows, like a tree house! More images from November 04:
Most of the exterior work is complete, the front porch is going on.
Meanwhile inside the drywall work looks complete and waiting for paint.
Here is the big window in the living room.
the driveway is in and the house looks very complete
The front with the porch complete - the slope of the hill led to an elevated configuration
the back corner down the hill - all the windows are in now
the clerestory windows in the living room
the last of the living room windows goes in. You can see the painting has already begun
The completed Tray House - a photo from the owner in early winter 2006. It looks well and lived in! Notice the owners opted for rain chains rather than downspouts from their gutters. A nice detail! |
Number: 0385 The Tray House Construction Images |
The first group of images are from the first 0385 Tray House to be built in 2004 in North Carolina. The Owners will be using it for their primary residence. It is located on a beautiful site on a wooded hillside. The house is sited to take advantage of a lake view at one end of the property. You will see that it put one end of the house projecting out of the hill which they took advantage of to create a walk-out basement. My sincerest thanks to our customers who share images of their homes. Return to: |
